Picture is pretty beta but buddy might be bangin broads on the side….,
Baby, please don’t leave me ever I loooove you so much!!!! I don’t know what I would do without you!!!! Can I kiss you?
He’s not like leaning on her shoulder; he’s pulling her into him, and she’s responding positively.
I think Prince William is far more alpha than his father; Kate Middleton there is certainly hotter than Will’s mother Diana was, and I can’t see him ever chasing someone as ugly as Camilla.
All hail the future king and queen of England!
When you’re the future king of England, you can probably get away with a lot more beta behavior than most guys.
But.. yeah, that pic is definitely beta.
Agree with Will S.
This is not egregiously beta. In an LTR, even an alpha mas has to control his instincts and reassure his girl sometimes. William is doing it the right way…mostly
What makes this picture beta is that he is resting his head on her. He should be standing or sitting erect and letting her rest her head on him / in his neck as though for protection, etc. His posture is the posture of a boy who needs a nap in his mommy’s lap.
No, Anonymous, he’s not like the guy in the foreground of this pic; he’s more like the guy in the background. He’s only gently leaning against her, not laying his head on her shoulder like a needy bitch. Like VI said, he’s reassuring her, and pulling her into him in a way that frames himself as protector and comforter, and NOT in need of comfort from her. Any betaness on display is only slight, compared to the amount of alpha shown here.
Actually, what’s really beta here is the tea cracker advert. The guy is heir to the English throne (even Dr Evil said they’re among the wealthiest landowners on Earth) and he’s shilling for cookies?
All kidding aside, it would be better if we could see the full-length photo. If she’s sitting on his lap or he’s standing tall and she’s cuddling into him will change our impression of his frame.
sure it looks a little beta but the dude probably just wants to get out of there, with some photographer barking poses at him. the entire photo is only to show off the ring for them not the happy couple.
every other picture you see, you get the impression he is actually quite alpha, more so than his brother.
cut him this one
Gee! He’s losing his hair quickly! I know men in their late forties with more hair on their heads.
Haha. As someone who’s followed the British Royal Family for years (and probably knows far more about it than I should be admitting!) I’d say Prince William falls somewhere in the greater beta category. He’s not that bright and probably wouldn’t have a top-tier career if he was an ordinary guy who needed a career, and he’s not exceptionally confident, but he has good social skills (inherited from his mom? and he IS a prince ).
Re: Camilla and Charles: it’s actually rather interesting to notice that the men in the British royal family, despite being princes, don’t seem to take advantage of that status at all. If anything, they tend to marry women who are less attractive than they could get, probably because they know that the most attractive women don’t really love and respect THEM–just their status and money. Prince Charles and Camilla are an obvious example. Another one is Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson – you could argue that he still has ‘oneitis’ for her, and she certainly wouldn’t feature in any list of beauties.
Hm, I think I should blog about this at some point . But anyhow, don’t these princes deserve some credit for knowing they are betas, instead of marrying a beauty and being dumped and divorced later? …Oh wait, maybe that did happen to Charles!
I think it’s fine that they’ve got McVities baking the cake (or one of the cakes, I believe). They should support British businesses. There is no advertisement ‘shilling for cookies’. Surely that logo is some photoshop. They are not like celebs doing a spread in Hello eating some chocolate bar (I can’t remember who it was, Anthea Turner perhaps? Jordan? Victoria Beckham? Maybe all 3 lol). It’s no different to a dry cleaners or fishmongers having a royal warrant.

Not convinced on that, otherwise he would have married her in the beginning instead of causing all that palaver.
As for Prince Andrew, he was a bit of a rebel but he didn’t really go out with anyone better than Sarah Ferguson, better looking but he could hardly have married Koo Stark. Sarah Ferguson was about at below class he could do (she was upper middle class though not aristocratic) in those times.
A lot has changed in attitude post HRH Princess of Wales (not in a way my grandparents and others of that generation approve of, English people crying in the streets, whatever next etc).
This seems to quite an overreaction. There is a balance of mutual displays of affection in this picture; smiles are equal, and no one is leaning in more than the other. Sure, it’s not alpha, but it’s not beta either.
It’s a lovely picture.
Guys, you are missing the point. Didn’t anyone hear that they are inviting their exes to their wedding? Now what are the odds that Katie is a V at her age, who has been described by many as being “Worldly”……, translation= used up. So the future king of England is being forced to break bread with men who defiled his queen by shooting their loads in her. Alpha?????? Henry VIII is rolling over in his grave.
[I hadn't heard that. That is bizarre. Unless William is planning to AMOG them during the reception. I wonder what power plays Henry VIII pulled on the ex-lovers of his many wives.]
